New Orleans - Tulane Athletics is pleased to offer alumni, fans and friends across the country an opportunity to support Green Wave Athletics and the community it serves at the same time. This partnership is made possible through a joint venture between the Devlin S-AFE (Student-Athletes for Education) Center for Leadership Development and the Tulane Athletics Fund (TAF). The S-AFE Center "Youth Ticket Initiative" provides tickets to Green Wave contests to area public school youth.
Supporters can make a donation to TAF and the value of that gift is applied to the youth ticket initiative. Fans will receive credit for a tax-deductible donation along with TAF benefits; Tulane Athletics will receive important financial support; and, most importantly, at-risk youth of New Orleans will be provided tickets to Green Wave athletic events and opportunities to participate in other outreach programs. S-AFE Center Youth Ticket Initiative packages are available at a variety of levels.
Tulane student-athletes participate in hundreds of community service hours each year and a primary focus is on serving as tutors and mentors to New Orleans-area school children. Youth are brought on campus multiple times a year through Wave Days events and many other initiatives and are introduced to the college experience. A crucial component of this program is to provide tickets so that they can attend a game on campus or at the Superdome and interact with Tulane student-athletes in the collegiate environment.
This program is a win-win for the youth of New Orleans and Tulane Athletics. To donate today, please click here or submit the attached order form. For more information, please contact William Thacker at (504) 862-8223 or wthacker@tulane.edu.
