TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Tulane's men's tennis team closes out the 2010 fall schedule this weekend at the 25-team Crimson Tide Fall Championships.
"This weekend's tournament has a lot of great teams participating," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "This is going to be a great opportunity for us to finish the semester on the right note."
A total of 10 states will be represented this weekend, as teams from across the country are slated to compete in this year's edition of the annual fall tournament. Teams in action include Alabama, Auburn, Stillman, Troy, UAB, West Alabama, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Georgia State, Illinois, Indiana, Liberty, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Notre Dame, Radford, Savannah College of Art and Design, Southern Mississippi, Tennessee-Chattanooga, Tennessee Tech and Virginia Tech.
Tulane has been led this fall by Coby Kramer-Golinkoff with a 5-1 record in singles play, while Joe Young has posted a 6-2 mark. As a team the Green Wave is 35-23 in singles and 7-7 in doubles.
"The guys are continuing to improve their habits in practice which should result in improved confidence in our matches," Booras said. "I'm looking forward to seeing how they compete this weekend."
