LAFAYETTE, La. - Joe Young, Holger Norregaard and Cody Kramer Golinkoff of the Tulane men's tennis team each advanced to the finals of their respective flights on Saturday afternoon in the Ragin' Cajun Invitational played to Louisiana-Lafayette's Cajun Courts Tennis Complex.
"We had some tough matches today but still got three guys through to the finals of their respective draws," head coach Mark Booras said.
Young, a sophomore, advanced and will face teammate Norregaard, a freshman, in the final of Flight B on Sunday morning. Young defeated teammate Takuma Ohashi, also a freshman, 6-1, 6-3, in the semifinal, while Norregaard got past Lamar's Marton Horvath, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.
"Holger did a good job of getting himself back into his match after a really slow start and ended up winning in a third set and advancing," Booras added.
Sophomore Kramer-Golinkoff defeated ULL's Frankie Hoar, 6-4, 6-4, in Flight C and will face ULL's Brandon Farine in the final on Sunday.
Adam Bernstein, a sophomore, dropped his semifinal match in Flight A to LSU's Oliver Borsos, 6-0, 7-6.
