Men's Tennis Travels to USM For Weekend Event

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - Looking to expand on the success of last week's performance, the Tulane men's tennis team travels to the Southern Miss Invitational Saturday and Sunday and will face players from USM, Lamar, South Alabama and William Carey at the Southern Miss Tennis Courts.
Green Wave sophomores Joe Young and Coby Kramer-Golinkoff each won singles titles last week at the Louisiana-Lafayette Invitational.
"We are looking forward to building on the confidence we gained last weekend at ULL," head coach Mark Booras said. "This weekend we have two tough days of matches with Lamar, South Alabama, Southern Miss and William Carey. It will be a nice challenge for us."
Tulane gets underway at 10 a.m. Saturday with eight singles matches and four doubles matches against Lamar and Southern Miss. The Green Wave will then play singles and doubles against South Alabama at 2:30 p.m.
"We had some good results last weekend and the guys understood that and this week they have really put in a lot of hard work so they can build on those results and it is not just something we can rest on," Booras said. "Our goal is to keep on building through the fall. It is a constant building block for us as we get ready for the spring."
Idan Mark, the preseason eighth-ranked first-year player in the nation by the ITA, will make his collegiate debut for Tulane this weekend.
