Wali and Kramer-Golinkoff Reach Consolation Finals at Rice

NEW ORLEANS -- Shaye Wali and Coby Kramer-Golinkoff of the Tulane men's tennis team, each advanced into the consolation finals of their respective singles Flights on Saturday at the 2011 Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Rice Fall Invitational at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
Wali advanced to Flight A singles consolation final and will face LSU's Mark Bowtell Sunday at 11 a.m. CT. Wali defeated Arkansas' Nikolas Zogaj, 6-4, 6-2, in the semifinals on Saturday morning.
Cody Kramer-Golinkoff reached the consolation finals of Flight C singles with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Rice's Leif Berger. Kramer-Golinkoff will face Isamu Tachibana of Rice on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
Kramer-Golinkoff paired with Takuma Ohashi in doubles n Flight B, but fell in the semifinals, 8-6, to the Rice duo of Jonathan Chang and Michael Nusslien on Saturday.
Joe Young, invited to play in the pre-qualifying tournament of the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa withdrew Saturday morning.
