Mark Advances Again Qualifying Singles at ITA All-American

TULSA, Okla. - Idan Mark, a junior on the Tulane men's tennis team, advanced into the finals of the 2011 ITA Men's All-American Championships in qualifying singles with his second straight victory on Tuesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Tulsa.
Mark, the 50th ranked singles player in the nation, defeated Yale's John Huang, 7-6, 6-2, in the second round on Tuesday morning and will face James Chaudry of Mississippi State, the 72nd ranked singles player, in the third round Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT.
In doubles action, Mark teamed with Joe Young, a fellow junior for the Green Wave, in the qualifying tournament opening round match, but fell to Texas' Ben Chen and Daniel Whitehead, 8-3, on Tuesday afternoon.
