HOUSTON - Momentum didn't stay on the 63rd-ranked Tulane men's tennis teams' side on Saturday morning as the Green Wave fell, 4-0, to No. 34 Memphis on the second day of the Rice Invitational at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
The Green Wave (8-5, 2-1 C-USA) opened the match by taking the first doubles match against the Tigers (11-3, 3-0 C-USA), but were unable to take another match.
The duo of Idan Mark and Joe Young defeated David O'Hare and Joe Salisbury of Memphis, 8-3, on court one to get the morning started, but the Tigers rallied to take the doubles point with wins on courts two and three.
Memphis won all three singles points in straight set victories on courts two, three and four.
Tulane will try to get back on track Sunday when they face No. 64 Rice on their home court at Noon CT.
