NEW ORLEANS - Idan Mark, a senior member of the Tulane men's tennis team, received a No. 16 regional singles ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) in the Southern region.
Mark, a native of Hod Hasharon, Israel, posted a 5-4 singles record in the fall tournament schedule, including a victory over nationally ranked Daniil Proskura of Alabama.
"Idan has consistently been ranked in singles and doubles regionally and nationally since he started here," Tulane head coach Mark Booras said. "We're looking forward to good things from our team this year and Idan's abilities could definitely help lead the way."
Mark has been ranked as high as 76th in the ITA national singles rankings during his Tulane career. He has collected 41 singles victories during his career, including 12 last spring.
Tulane opens the spring season season on Jan. 26 when they host Xavier (NO) at 1 p.mm. CT.
