
Koepfer Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Month

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Tulane tennis junior Dominik Koepfer was named the American Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Month for September; it was announce by the league office on Monday.
Koepfer went 4-1 in singles play in September, including wins over three ranked opponents. The Furtwangen, Germany, native, downed the No. 56, No. 72 and No. 103 ranked players in the nation and two of the wins came in the ITA All-American Qualifying enroute to earning a spot in the Main Draw.
Earlier in the month, Koepfer went 2-1 at the Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational, with his lone defeat coming at the hands of No. 8 Winston Lin of Columbia.
Koepfer, the 98th ranked player in the nation by the ITA, who is already 4-1 in the month of October, will try defend his American Athletic Conference honor at the ITA Southern Regional in Auburn, Alabama, Oct. 16-20.
