Nov 19, 2014 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS - Tulane men's basketball team will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss to Wake Forest when they host Mississippi Valley State in Devlin Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. CT on Thursday.
The game can be seen live on ESPN3 by clicking here and can also be heard live on the Tulane IMG Sports Network (106.1 FM locally in the New Orleans area).
The Green Wave (0-1) fell, 71-49, to visiting Wake Forest on Monday night despite a game-high 17-point performance from Louis Dabney and 11 rebounds from Tre Drye.
"We know what we need to work on after Monday night's game and we have had some good practices leading up to Thursday," Tulane head coach Ed Conroy said. "This is a long stretch for us with four games in the next eight days so our focus has to start now and that focus is on getting our team ready."
MVSU (0-2) will play on the road for the third straight game on Thursday after losses at Indiana and Mississippi State to open the season.
This will be the first meeting between the two schools on the basketball court.
The first 1000 fans in attendance on Thursday will receive a free commemorative plastic stadium cup.
Season ticket prices for Tulane's inaugural season in The American are $300 for premium chairback seating, $200 for bleacher seating, and $400 for the family zone (2 adult/2 youth for both men's and women's basketball seasons). In addition, men's basketball season ticket holders will have the exclusive opportunity to purchase half-priced women's season tickets.
