WILMINGTON, N.C. - Wrapping their third and final day at the Seahawk Invitational, the Tulane men's tennis foursome of Alex and Ian Van Cott, Eric Wagner and Tyler Schick all got in some quality play over the weekend at UNCW. On Sunday, the Green Wave's Schick and Ian Van Cott picked up singles wins.
Both doubles partnerships of Alex/Wagner and Ian/Schick went 1-2 over the past three days. On Sunday, USC Upstate's Simonetti/Ewers bested Ian/Schick, 7-6, while Bennion/Garrido defeated Alex/Wagner, 6-1.
Over in singles play vs. Richmond, Schick earned the first Wave win on the day, downing Alexandre Felisa, 6-2, 6-3. Schick now moves to 8-4 on the year. Ian Van Cott also got in the win column when the senior defeated Brice Polender, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
Up next for Tulane is the LSU Invitational, starting Friday, Nov. 6, in Baton Rouge, La.
