2. From Undergraduate School to Q-School: Former Tulane golfers Alvarez, Dryburgh one step closer to LPGA
Since its inception in the late 1980s, the Tulane women's golf program has cultivated a tradition of excellence on campus and within the athletic department, earning a handful of Top 10 rankings and conference championships to go along with their numerous trips to the NCAA Championship rounds.
This year, two Tulane golf alumnae are carrying that tradition even further by taking their talents to the professional level. Former Tulane golfers Lily Alvarez (2002-2005) and Gemma Dryburgh (2011-2015), two women who have been key in bringing Tulane's golf game into the spotlight, have successfully played through the first two rounds of Qualifying School, or "Q-School" and will advance to the final stage next month.
