Question: What made you choose Tulane?
Answer: It just felt like home when I visited. I loved the people, the coaches, the school. I loved all my future teammates. I loved everything about New Orleans. I felt at home on campus, and in the city.
Q: How would you describe your transition from high school to college so far?
A: Academics wise, it’s pretty much the same. I was in AP classes so that helped prepare me for lectures. The only difference is you have to work harder. You have to study. Basketball wise it’s a lot faster, but I think it’s more fun. The heightened level of competition excites practice, and pick-up.
Q: I read that you played the one, two, and three positions in high school. Obviously you can score from all over the floor. Where do you see yourself as a college player?
A: Playing my role. Whatever the coaches need me to do, I’ll do. I just like to play
Q: What do you like most about Tulane?
A: I like it all. I haven’t found anything I don’t like so far.
Q: Where is your favorite place to go in New Orleans?
A: I like the Riverwalk Mall. I like shopping.
Q: Your intended major is Homeland Security, what made you choose that?
A: Since I was little I’ve watched detective shows, like Law & Order SVU, CSI, and Criminal Minds. Just watching them, and the way I think about things, I overanalyze a lot of things, and I jump to conclusions on a lot of things. And half the time I’m right. People ask me, how did you know that? And I tell them I don’t know, I just put it all together. So I feel like I would just have being a detective, because I like thinking critically about things.
Q: If you were stuck on a deserted island, and you only had three things, what would they be?
A: I would have a phone or a radio to call someone to come get me, if I needed it. What kind of an island is it though? Is it tropical? Is it a desert?
Q: Yeah, I was thinking tropical what were you thinking?
A: Yeah, tropical works. I would have a pot to boil the water, so I can have fresh water. And a hammock, so I have somewhere to sleep. That’s it.
Fun fact: I can juggle, and I can make a dolphin noise. Also, I like surfing, and longboarding.
