Men's Tennis Wraps Day Two at Rice Invite

NEW ORLEANS – Two Tulane men's tennis underclassmen highlighted day two action at the Rice Invite. Freshman Luis Erlenbusch and sophomore Tyler Schick each won their singles matches in Draw A to advance to the final, where it will be an all Green Wave showdown against each other for the title. Then, in doubles Draw A, Schick and Erlenbusch won one match today to advance to the final where they came up just short, falling 8-4 to Mortier/Bendana of UIW.

The Olive and Blue also ruled the day in singles in Draw B where Tim Ruetzel and Jonathan Star each won today to advance to the final against each other. Ruetzel defeated Mustapha Belcora of Troy, 7-5, 6-2, while Star bested Gerado Penchyna of Rice, 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
