SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Tulane women's golf caps off its fall slate Oct. 23-25 against another competitive field at the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
Texas-San Antonio and the Briggs Ranch Golf Club play host to 13 teams, including the Green Wave, for this three-day, 54-hole tournament. The field includes eight top 50 teams in the nation, including No. 9 Arkansas, No. 21 SMU, No. 23 Tennessee, No. 32 Auburn, No. 35 TCU, No. 39 Texas A&M, No. 41 Kansas State and No. 49 Old Dominion.
Head coach Lorne Don is going with the same five for this tournament as he did for the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational, but with some adjustments. Sophomore Laura Munoz will play at the No. 1 spot for Tulane with redshirt freshman Elise Genoux at No. 2, senior Belen Goicoechea at No. 3, freshman Haydyn Gibson at No. 4 and sophomore Sofia Goicoechea once again at No. 5.
The Green Wave are back in action after the New Year on Feb. 3-5 at the UCF Challenge before hosting the 2017 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship, set for Feb. 19-21 at English Turn Golf & Country Club.
