Football Holds Final Full Workout on Homecoming Week

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane football closed out its preparation its homecoming matchup with SMU with another spirited practice session on the Benson field turf at Yulman Stadium. Kickoff on Saturday is set for 3 p.m. on ESPNews.
The Green Wave (3-4, 0-3 American Athletic Conference | West) are seeking their first conference win this season and the first for head coach Willie Fritz.Â
Tulane is playing its 20th game in football as a member of the American Athletic Conference and has a 3-16 record for their first two-plus seasons in the conference. The Green Wave's last victory over a conference opponent was a 45-31 win over UCF on Oct. 3, 2015.  Â

"I thought we had a good solid week (of practice)," said Fritz. "One of the things about changing the culture of the program is getting out there and going hard every day. Your attention to details should never waiver. We have a lot of guys that do a good job of practicing hard every day. We have to get everybody to do that."
