CHICAGO - Tulane women's golf finished up play at 2016 Windy City Collegiate Classic on Tuesday afternoon, playing the final 18 holes of the 72-hole, two-day event.
The Green Wave posted a 911 (+47) to place 14th among loaded field of some of the top programs in the country.
Senior Belen Goicoechea led the way for Olive and Blue with a 223 (+7) to place tied for 41st. Goicoechea was in contention following Monday' first two rounds at even par through 36 holes. Freshman Haydyn Gibson closed strong in the final with an even 72, bolstered by two birdies on the front nine and shooting par over eight of the nine holes on the back nine.
Tulane returns to action Oct. 17-18 at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational hosted by Texas.
