Volleyball Update: UCF Match Relocated to Orlando
Oct 8, 2016 | Women's Volleyball
TAMPA, Fla. – With the worst of Hurricane Matthew out of the Florida area, Tulane volleyball will revert to its original travel plans and head to Orlando for a Sunday afternoon matchup at UCF. The match had previously been moved to USF for Saturday night.
Coaches and administrators made the decision following Tulane's 3-1 victory over USF on Friday night, after the storm had passed and damage in Orlando had been assessed. With the win, Tulane notched its second straight conference win, surpassing the overall win total from 2015 and moving to 11-6 on the season, 3-2 in the American Athletic Conference.
The Green Wave will make the two-hour drive from Tampa to Orlando on Saturday morning and plans to practice at UCF in the afternoon as originally scheduled. Tulane will take on the Knights inside The Venue at UCF on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. CT. Live stats are available here.
Tulane will return to New Orleans Sunday night, flying out of Orlando following the afternoon conference matchup.
Next weekend, the Green Wave are back in action at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse for a pair of conference contests against ECU and Cincinnati on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.
