No. 18 Bowling Preps for JSU Sonic Boom Invitational

NEW ORLEANS - No. 18 Tulane bowling is headed to Brandon, Miss., for the JSU Sonic Boom Invitational. The three-day event, hosted by Jackson State University at Fannin Lanes, kicks off on Friday, Nov. 11 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 13.
"This weekend we are trying to create a positive team energy that will transfer to the lanes. The tournament doesn't have such a strong field as previous tournaments but we need to continue to play our own game and repeat shots," said head coach Hayley Veitch. "As long as we stay positive and work together as a team, we will be successful on the lanes."
The competition gets underway on Friday with the teams competing in five person baker matches. The competition then continues on Saturday with the teams competing in traditional matches. The Wave's performance on the first two days of competition will determine their seeding for Sunday's bracket matches.
Tulane finished its last tournament, the Track Kat Klash, in 11th place. The Green Wave posted an 8-6 overall record, 12,674 pin total, and 178.5 pin average. Â
