NEW ORLEANS - Tulane football (3-7, 0-6 American Athletic Conference | West) will look to send its 12 seniors out on a high note on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Temple (7-3, 5-1 The American | East) to Yulman Stadium for a 2:30 p.m. CT kick-off on the American Sports Network. The contest will also be streamed online on ESPN3 and on the radio at Fox Sports AM 1280 New Orleans.Â
STORYLINES:
• Saturday's game is Senior Day for 12 Green Wave players - nickelback Richard Allen, wide receivers Devon Breaux and Larry Dace III, offensive linemen Todd Jacquet and Chris Taylor, linebackers Nico Marley, Casey Spinelli and Eric Thomas, running backs Josh Rounds and Lazedrick Thompson, defensive tackle Tanzel Smart and tight end Marshall Wadleigh.
•  The defense remains the calling card for the Green Wave through 10 games. Tulane is among the best in the FBS in turnovers - tied for first in fumble recoveries with 13 and tied for 14th in turnover margin at +8 (0.80 per game).
•  Tulane's 13 fumble recoveries are tied for first in the nation with Eastern Michigan and Minnesota.
•  Tulane has grabbed an interception in six of its last seven games and in seven of its 10 games this season.
• Offensively, the Green Wave's triple-option ground attack, ranked 18th in the nation at 236.4 yards per game, features the running back foursome of junior Dontrell Hilliard (737 yards, 9 TDs), Rounds (643 yards, 5 TDs), Thompson (382 yards, 4     TDs) and redshirt junior Sherman Badie (144 yards, 1 TD).
• Tulane has rushed for a 100 or more yards in 13 straight games, dating back to the final three games of the 2015 season.
• Three of Tulane's seven losses have been by seven points of less with the Wave being in four of those games in the fourth quarter.
• The Olive and Blue's last win in a regular-season home finale was a 45-3 victory over UTEP on Nov. 23, 2013.
SERIES NOTES:
• Saturday's game marks the fourth meeting between Tulane and Temple with the Owls leading the series 2-1. Temple has won the two meetings between the teams as member of the American Athletic Conference.
• Tulane's win in the series came in the 1935 Sugar Bowl, a 20-14 victory.
SCOUTING THE OWLS:
• Temple (7-3, 5-1 The American | West) is coming off a bye week after a 21-0 win over UConn on Nov. 4.
• The Owls ride a four-game conference win streak into New Orleans and control their own destiny to finish first in the American Athletic Conference East Division with just two games remaining.
• Senior quarterback Phillip Walker tied his season-high with three touchdown passes against UConn, including one to redshirt senior tight end Romond Deloatch, who grabbed his first receiving touchdown of the season.
• Senior running back Jahad Thomas has scored two touchdowns in seven of his last eight games and has 14 total touchdowns this year (tied for 14th in the nation).
