CCB FINAL DRAWS
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Four Tulane men's tennis underclassmen spent their weekend at the CCB Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Samford University. Tim Ruetzel, Eric Wagner and Chase Schupp all shone bright in their final fall tournament of the 2016-17 season, each posting 3-1 records in their respective singles draws.
Both Ruetzel and Schupp each won two straight to reach the semifinals of their respective draws before falling in three sets. However, both immediately bounced back by claiming third place in their draws with straight-set victories over their opponents on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Wagner split his opening two matches before bouncing back on the final days with straight-set victories over opponents from UAB and South Alabama.
