Bowling Earns Third Seed for Final Day of 2016 Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Invitational

KENNER, La. – Tulane Bowling will be the No. 3 seed Sunday in the bracket portion of the 2016 Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Invitational.

Tulane will face Jackson State in the opening match of bracket play, which begins at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. The bracket portion of the tournament will feature three rounds of best 4-of-7 Baker matches. An awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of play.

The Green Wave posted a 5-1 record in Saturday's traditional matches, winning five in a row against Grambling State, Jackson State, Texas Southern, Alabama State and reigning NCAA Champion Stephen F. Austin to conclude the day. Tulane totaled 6,210 pins for a 207.0 pin average. Through two days, Tulane has a tournament pin total of 11,243 and a 204.4 pin average, posting an 8-2 record.
