Eighth Annual Tulane Athletics 5K Set for March 5

NEW ORLEANS - The Eighth Annual Tulane Athletics 5K, sponsored by tasc Performance and United Healthcare, will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 5. The 5K (3.1 miles) fun run/walk will take place
Tulane Green Wave coaches, staff and student-athletes will participate in the event. The goal of the event is to increase the Tulane Athletics Fund donor base to a new record level. This year, Tulane Athletics has set a goal of 500 participants and sponsors for the 5K. In order to reach that goal, each and every student-athlete and coach must be sponsored by Green Wave supporters, family members, or friends. The event is open to all ages.

The Tulane Athletics 5K is open for anyone to register to run for $30. To sponsor a runner, student-athlete, coach, athletic director, staff member, or any one of the Green Wave teams for $30, please visit www.TulaneAthletics5K.com. All runners and sponsors will receive a 5K tasc shirt.

The more than 500 people who have participated in the 5K during the last six years include Tulane faculty and staff, students, Tulane Athletics Fund donors, season ticket holders, alumni and friends from all over the country, as well as many of the area's runners and walkers. Current Tulane student-athletes will be competing, as well.
