WTN Named the No. 8 Seed in AAC Championships

NEW ORLEANS - A week after wrapping their regular season finale, the Tulane women's tennis team now know their conference seeding and opening round opponent for the American Athletic Conference Championships taking place in Memphis this week. The Green Wave received the No. 8 seed in the 11-team bracket and will square off against No. 9 seed UConn on Wednesday, April 20, at 9 a.m. CT.
The battle-tested Green Wave (7-13) clashed with 11 ranked teams this spring, including seven inside the top-40. Tulane went 2-3 against conference opposition, picking up wins against Houston and Memphis.
Wednesday's contest will mark the first encounter with UConn in the Coach Sisk era. This season, the Huskies produced a 10-9 record with a 1-4 mark against conference opponents.
