
Swimming & Diving's Olivia Johnson to Compete at Olympic Trials

Incoming freshman looks to qualify for Rio
NEW ORLEANS — Olivia Johnson, an incoming freshman on the Tulane swimming & diving team, will compete in the US Olympic Team Trials in Omaha, Neb.
The Trials will run June 26-July 3 and Johnson will look to earn a spot in the U.S. Olympic Swim Team that will compete in Rio de Janeiro later this summer.
Johnson will be competing in the 400 IM, the fourth event in Sunday's opening-day prelim action. The West Lafayette, Indiana, native spent the last two years swimming for Fishers Area Swimming, competing mainly in distance events. She is seeded 77th in Sunday's prelims with a time of 4:52.96.
Prelims will start daily at 10 a.m. CT and finals will start at 6:45 p.m. CT. Finals will be televised on NBC each night and prelims can be viewed live on NBC Sports online or though the NBC Sports app.
