Swimming and Diving Unveils 2026-27 Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane swimming and diving team has announced its schedule for the 2026-27 season, featuring a mix of exciting home events and extensive travel across the country.
Highlights of the schedule include two regular-season home competitions, along with an intrasquad scrimmage at the Reily Student Recreation Center. The team will also visit North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Hawai'i, California, and Virginia.
The season kicks off with the preseason Olive/Blue Scrimmage on September 25 at 2 p.m., providing an early opportunity for the team to showcase its talent.
The regular season begins on the road at the FIU TYR Fall Classic in Miami, Florida, from October 2-3. Following that, the team will travel to Greenville, North Carolina, for a meet against East Carolina, UNC Asheville, and UNC Pembroke from October 23-24.
November features an extended road trip with meets in Texas at the University of Houston and Rice University from November 6-7, followed by the Phil Hansel Invitational in Houston from November 17-20, where qualifiers will compete against top programs.
In December, the team will participate in the US Open in Austin, Texas (December 3-6) and the CSCAA College Open Water Championships in Sarasota, Florida (December 12). The holiday break will be spent in Hawai'i, with the team competing on Jan. 3 against the University of Hawaii. Colorado College, and Pacific Lutheran.
The diving squad will remain on the West Coast for the Bruin Diving Invite in Los Angeles from January 8-10. The team then hosts the second annual Mardi Gras Invitational from January 15-16 at the Reily Center, featuring teams from the University of New Mexico, Delta State, and Loyola of New Orleans.
The final home competition is a dual meet against the University of West Florida on January 30. The team also makes a return to Texas for the UH First Chance Meet on February 5-6.
The postseason begins with the 2027 American Championships, scheduled for February 17-20 at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. The Zone D Diving Championships will take place March 7-10 in Austin, Texas, followed by the National Invitational Championships (NIC) from March 11-13 in Ocala, Florida. The season concludes with the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Austin from March 17-20.
The program finished fifth overall at the 2026 American Conference Swimming Championships with 905.50 points. The program totaled an event victory and five medal winners in the competition. Lise Coetzee won the 200 free and placed second in the 500 free. Petropoulou was the runner-up in the 200 butterfly. Lennox took third in the 100 free. The 800 relay team of Coetzee, Zeebe, Phoebe Johnson, and Rafaela Sumida placed third. Brewer was named the league's Freshman Diver of the Year and also qualified and competed at NCAA Zones this season. Tulane also saw 11 qualify and compete at the 2026 CSCAA National Invitational Championships in Danielle Barberie, Coetzee, Nicole Fant, Paula Gaya Bisquerra, Petropoulou, Ebba Holgersson, Johnson, Mary Kate Kupsky, Lennox, Gwen Shahboz, and Marin Shimkus. The program saw four earn a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District ® Division I Swimming & Diving Team in Petropoulou, Olcaytu Hatipoglu, Johnson, and Zeebe and three selected as College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-Americans in Lennox, Petropoulou, and Brewer.
