Women’s Tennis to be Represented at ULM Warhawk Invitational

Atkinson and Karagoz to kick off the fall slate
NEW ORLEANS – Two members of the Tulane women's tennis squad will officially kick off the fall slate of action this weekend when they travel to Monroe, Louisiana, for the ULM Warhawk Fall Tournament. Juniors Sade Atkinson and Naz Karagoz will compete in the two-day event, competing in both doubles and singles at the Raymond Heard Stadium against foes from ULM, Louisiana Tech, Stephen F. Austin, ULL, McNeese State and Southeastern Louisiana.
"We are very excited to get started with the competition phase this weekend," Coach Sisk said. "I am incredibly impressed with our talent level this year and the practice matches have been super competitive so I'm really looking forward to our results this weekend with Sade and Naz."
The tournament will start with doubles on Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT, followed by two rounds of singles. Format for doubles is regular set and no-ad, with singles remaining a best of three-set, no-ad.
"This tournament field is very solid so the girls will be put to the test quickly," Sisk added. "We've only been back at practice for two weeks but from what I've seen so far, we are competing well are in shape so the results will come."
