Academic Services Announces Scholar Athletes of the Month for December

NEW ORLEANS -- Tulane Academic Services has named its Scholar Athletes of the Month for December, selecting 16 student-athletes from each of the university's 16 intercollegiate varsity athletic programs. The Scholar Athletes of the Month are chosen by each sport's advisor, and the selection is based on effort put forth by the student in academics, athletics, leadership and community service.

The mission of the ASC is to offer academic and personal support for student-athletes, and guide, support and inspire them in their pursuit of excellence. The ASC provides quality academic/life skills education and support for all student-athletes at Tulane, and aims to promote student-athlete academic achievement, community responsibility, and personal accountability. ASC works to ensure that all student-athletes maintain NCAA continuing eligibility with regard to overall GPA, earned hours, and percentage of degree requirements.
