
Women's Golf Finishes Play at The Dickson

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – The Tulane women's golf team finished play just outside of Houston at The Dickson placing 13th at +35 (899).
Tulane started the tournament on a good note, siting tied for ninth after the first round on the strength of freshman Gabrielle Correia's one under par 71 and sophomore Laura Munoz's even par 72 and freshman Haydyn Gibson's even par 72 in the opening round. From there, the Green Wave battled over the final 36 holes to finish 10 strokes away from a top 10 finish at The Woodlands Country Club.
Munoz led the way for Tulane at +7 (223) to finished tied for 35th. She holed 39 pars and five birdies over the 54-hole tournament.
"It was positive to have Laura play well for us for the second tournament in a row," said head coach Lorne Don. "She's been able to play with the consistency we need as we go into the stretch run of our season."
Next up after The Dickson, Tulane takes a break until March 24-26 when the Wave will take the short ride on I-10 to Baton Rouge, La. for the LSU Tiger Golf Classic at the University Club.
