NEW ORLEANS – No. 13 Tulane bowling is back in action this weekend at the SFA Jacks Invitational, to be played Friday-Sunday at Copperfield Lanes in Houston.

The 24-team tournament begins Friday with Baker matches, while traditional format matches will be played on Saturday. The tournament will conclude with best 4-of-7 Baker Match bracket play to determine the final standings.

Tulane is one of 17 schools ranked in the NTCA Top-25 Poll competing at the SFA Jacks Invitational, including nine of the top-10 ranked teams. The Wave will be joined in the tournament by No. 1 Nebraska, No. 2 Arkansas State, No. 3 McKendree, No. 4 Sam Houston State, No. 5 Vanderbilt, No. 7 Stephen F. Austin, No. 8 Delaware State, No. 9 Maryland-Eastern Shore, No. 10 Sacred Heart, No. 12 Monmouth, No. 14 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 17 LIU-Brooklyn, No. 18 North Carolina A&T, No. 19 Prairie View A&M, No. 21 UAB, and No. 24 Youngstown State. In addition, Jackson State, Texas Southern, Grambling State, Lincoln Memorial, Louisiana Tech, Maryville and Southern will compete at the tournament.

In its last competition, the Green Wave placed eighth at the Kutztown Invitational Jan. 20-22, propelling a three-position jump in the national poll as the season moved into February. At 13th, the Wave has reached its highest ranking in program history.

At Kutztown, Tulane posted a 9-6 record, 15,221 pin total, and 192.7 pin average for the tournament. Junior Michelle Ng led the Green Wave with a 19th-place individual finish and a 203.83 pin average, while senior Angela Falgoust followed in 21st with a 202.83 pin average.
