Volleyball Alters 2017 Schedule, Adds South Alabama

NEW ORLEANS -- Dealing with the effects of Hurricane Harvey, Tulane volleyball has altered its schedule and will host South Alabama tomorrow at the Hertz Center. The teams will play two matches with first serve set for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. The matches will be free to the public with doors opening at Noon.
South Alabama was scheduled to open the season at the Barcelona HBU Classic in Houston on Friday, followed by a pair of matches on Saturday, but the tournament was cancelled because of inclement weather related to Hurricane Harvey. The Green Wave were set to open its season at the I-10 Cardinals Classic in San Antonio, Texas, but the tournament was also cancelled due to the tropical storm. Tulane instead traveled to Lafayette, La. to play UL Lafayette in a pair of matches Friday afternoon.
Season ticket packages for the 2017 season are on sale now. Tickets may be purchased by calling 504-861-WAVE (9283), logging onto TulaneTix.com or visiting the ticket office at the James W. Wilson Jr. Center.
