Tulane, Iowa State Football to Meet in 2028, 2029

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University and Iowa State University football programs announced a home-and-home series for the 2028 and 2029 seasons on Tuesday morning.

The first matchup of the two-game series will be held on Sept. 16, 2028, at Iowa State. The Cyclones will return to Tulane on Sept. 15, 2029.

Tulane and Iowa State have faced off four times in their history, with all four meetings coming in a six-year period from 1987-92. Iowa State holds the all-time series lead 3-1.

The Green Wave captured the first matchup in the series in 1987 when former head coach Mack Brown led Tulane to a 25-12 victory in New Orleans as the team was en route to the Independence Bowl.

Iowa State won matchups in 1988, 1989 and 1992.
