TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane men's tennis juniors Ewan Moore and Luis Erlenbusch were awarded at-large bids to the singles main draw at the 2018 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships in an announcement Wednesday.
The tournament, which will take place Nov. 7-11 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona, serves as the culminating event of the fall portion of the collegiate tennis season. The event will include 64 of the nation's top collegiate singles players and 32 doubles teams.
Tulane owns a piece of history at the ITA National Fall Championships, as 2016 alumnus Dominik Koepfer won the tournament in 2015 after reaching the semifinals one year prior. Highlights of his tournament run can be watched by clicking this link.
Ranked No. 60 nationally, Moore will be making his second straight appearance in the tournament, after a tough, three-set defeat in the first round of last year's tournament. He owns a 4-3 singles record this fall and reached the semifinals of the ITA Southern Regional in Tuscaloosa, Ala., just over one week ago.
Erlenbusch holds a 5-3 singles mark this fall and owns three top-100 victories against Auburn's 93rd-ranked Tim Dollman at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa and in the main draw at the ITA Southern Regional, as well as a round of 16 win over No. 42 Shane Monroe of LSU at regionals.
