Men's Tennis Prepares for CCB Invitational

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane men's tennis team will send five players to Birmingham, Ala., for the 2018 CCB Invitational, which will be held Nov. 2-4 at the Country Club of Birmingham.
Representing the Green Wave will be Felix Ewers, Eric Wagner, Tim Ruetzel, Akos Kotorman and Hamish Stewart.
Competition begins with the first two rounds of doubles matches on Friday at 9 a.m. (CT), followed by one rounds of singles. Saturday will start with two more rounds of singles, before the final round of doubles and singles on Sunday morning.
The event will feature three singles draws with 16 players in each and three doubles draws including eight teams. Student-athletes representing 13 schools, including Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Tulane, South Alabama, Middle Tennessee State, East Tennessee State, Samford, UAB, Lipscomb, Belmont and Southern Miss will compete throughout the weekend.
At last year's CCB Invitational, Ruetzel and Stewart won the top doubles draw at the event, while Wagner earned a third-place showing in his singles draw.
