TULANE LOOKS TO BECOME BOWL ELIGIBLE AT HOUSTON
- Tulane will hit the road for the third time in four weeks, traveling to Houston to take on the Cougars on Thursday on ESPN.
- Tulane is in the midst of a three-game winning streak, its longest winning streak since joining The American in 2014.Â
- The Green Wave enter Thursday's game following a 24-18 victory over East Carolina on Homecoming.Â
- Thursday night's game will be the 23rd meeting between the teams. Tulane won in 2017, but Houston holds an 16-6 lead in the lifetime series.
FIRST AND 10
- Tulane will look to move to 5-2 in league play for the first time since joining The American in 2014. Tulane has never won four straight games in The American and last won four straight games of any kind in 2013.Â
- Tulane enters Thursday in search of its third straight road win. Tulane has not won three straight road games since the perfect 1998 season.
- Over the course of their three-game winning streak, the Green Wave have held their opponents to an average of just 16.6 points per game. Tulane has also held its opponents to under 20 points in each of those contests.  Tulane is one of just five teams nationally that has held its opponents to under 20 points in the last three games.Â
- Tulane's rushing attack has gained 100 yards or more on the ground in each of the last 37 games.
- Junior Darius Bradwell is Tulane's leading rusher this season with 829 yards on 137 carries. Bradwell has scored a team-high eight touchdowns. Bradwell ranks 10th in The American with 82.9 yards per game and is 33rd nationally with 6.05 yards per carry. He is also tied for eighth nationally with 11 rushes of 20 yards or longer.
- Tulane had the best performance in NCAA history in pass breakups on Saturday against ECU. The Green Wave's 20 breakups against the Pirates set a new NCAA record, topping the previous record of 19 held by South Carolina.
- WR Darnell Mooney posted a career day with 217 yards receiving against ECU. His 217-yard effort is the fifth-most receiving yards for a single game in program history.
- Tulane is 3-0 since Justin McMillan took over as the team's starting QB. In his last start, McMillan posted career highs in yards (372) and TD passes (three). Since taking over as the starter, McMillan has nine TDs (six passing, three rushing).
- Sophomore DE Patrick Johnson tops Tulane with 9.0 sacks, a number that puts him second in the league. He leads Tulane with 13.5 tackles for loss and has recorded at least one TFL in nine straight games.
- Tulane's 2018 slate has been the 18th-toughest schedule at the FBS level based on FBS opponent winning percentage. Only 13 teams have played FBS opponents with more combined wins than Tulane opponents' 56 wins this year.
