Bowling Back in Action at SFA Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic

NEW ORLEANS – After a four-week hiatus, No. 9 Tulane bowling returns to action this weekend at the Stephen F. Austin Stormin' Ladyjack Classic at the Copperfield Bowl in Houston.
The Green Wave finished fifth at the Mid-Winter Classic and fourth at the Kutztown Invitational last month and retained its No. 9 national ranking in the February poll by the National Tenpin Coaches Association.
The tournament takes place Friday through Sunday, featuring five Baker matches on Friday, five traditional team matches Saturday, and a three-round best-of-7 Baker bracket play on Sunday. Matches begin at 9:35 a.m. Friday and 9:25 a.m. Saturday morning, and bracket play on Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m. Tulane's matches will be streamed live via Facebook Live.
The 18-team field includes 16 ranked schools, including eight of the top 10 teams in the nation. The Green Wave are joined in the field by No. 1 Nebraska, No. 2 McKendree, No. 3 Arkansas State, No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 5 Sam Houston State, No. 7 Stephen F. Austin, No. 8 Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 11 Adelphi, No. 13 UAB, No. 16 LIU Brooklyn, No. 17 North Carolina A&T, No. 18 Duquesne, No. 19 Louisiana Tech, No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 22 Maryville, Bethune-Cookman and St. Francis (N.Y.).
