Bowling Set for USBC Intercollegiate Sectionals

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane bowling will compete in the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectional Qualifier, March 9-11, at St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights, Ill.
The USBC Intercollegiate Championships, which are separate from NCAA championships and include a different pool of competing teams, begin with the sectional qualifiers this weekend.
The sectional qualifier is an all-Baker format. The top four teams with the highest total pinfall after 64 games will advance to the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships April 18-21 in Lincoln, Neb. The nation's top 64 women's teams during the regular season received bids into the sectional qualifier.
The Intercollegiate Singles Championships Sectional Qualifier takes place Friday beginning at 3:30 p.m. CT, and results and live stream can be found at the links.
The Intercollegiate Team Championships Sectional Qualifier takes place Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Full information, including links to game set results and live stream, can be found at BOWL.com.
This is the third straight year the Green Wave have competed in the event. Tulane finished eighth in each of its last two trips to the USBC Sectional Qualifier.
The 18-team field in Fairview Heights includes: No. 7 Stephen F. Austin, No. 20 Wisconsin-Whitewater, Ancilla, Acquinas, Calumet, Campbellsville, Clarke, Grand View, Judson, Lindenwood, Marian, Mount Mercy, Purdue, Saint Xavier, St. Ambrose, Viterbo and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
