No. 19/15 Tulane beach volleyball is in Emerson, Georgia, for the CCSA Championship this weekend, as the sixth-seeded Green Wave look to return home as conference champions.Â

THE POSTSEASON IS HERE
Tulane is in Pool B, along with second-seeded South Carolina, No. 3 FIU, No. 7 College of Charleston and No. 10 UAB while Pool A consists of No. 1 Florida State, No. 4 LSU, No. 5 Georgia State, No. 8 FAU and No. 9 UNCW. The Green Wave will play every team in their pool before the top two teams from each pool - A and B - advance to the tournament's semifinals.Â
The Green Wave's run for the title starts against No. 9 South Carolina at 11 a.m. Friday. Tulane then plays No. 10 FIU at 2 p.m.

Tulane lost to South Carolina, 3-2, one weekend ago at the Palmetto Invitational in Columbia, South Carolina, but currently holds the upper hand against FIU, having won 3-2 earlier this season at the Surf 'N' Turf Invitational in Miami Beach, Florida.
The action continues for Tulane on Saturday, as the team plays UAB at 9:30 a.m. and College of Charleston at 12:30 p.m. The Green Wave beat UAB, 4-1, at the Blazer Beach Duals in Birmingham, Alabama, earlier this season and split the regular season series against Charleston.
Tulane lost, 3-2, against College of Charleston at the Tiger Beach Challenge before picking up a 4-1 win one weekend ago at the Palmetto Invitational.
The semifinals start at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday, with the championship dual held at approximately 1 p.m. Eleven Sports USA is scheduled to broadcast both semifinals and the final on Sunday live.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO...
Senior Madeline Mertz and sophomore Kaylie McHugh were named to the 2018 CCSA Beach Volleyball All-Conference Team in a unanimous selection, the league office announced Thursday afternoon. Freshman Addison Hermstad earned a spot on the conference's All-Freshman Team.
Mertz and McHugh played as Tulane's No. 1 in the regular season, posting a 27-6 record with 10 victories against ranked opponents. The Green Wave's top duo, who earned the conference's Pair of the Week honors once during the regular season, have dominated for much of the year, with 22 of their 27 flight wins coming in straight sets.
Hermstad posted a record of 16-8 in the regular season, including five wins against ranked opponents. She played at the No. 3, 4 and 5 positions throughout the season, with 10 of her wins coming at the four spot.
Mertz was also named to the 2018 CCSA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team. Mertz, who is majoring in business marketing, maintains a 3.60 GPA as she approaches her graduation from Tulane University.
