Women's Tennis Wraps Day One at Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Tulane women's tennis team claimed three of four singles matches, highlighting its first day at the 2019 Kitty Harrison Invitational at the University of North Carolina.

The Green Wave squared off against William & Mary in singles action, as sophomore Adelaide Lavery cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 win over Vitoria Okuyama. Classmate Lauren Gish was equally as efficient in her matchup against Elisa Van Meeteren, easing to a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

Freshman Mackenzie Clark continued her strong fall campaign with a straight set win of her own, defeating Raffaela Alhach, 6-0, 7-6(4), to give Tulane wins in three of its four matches against the Tribe.

Tulane returns to the courts Saturday with doubles matches against Virginia and singles play against Oregon.
