Tulane Swimming and Diving Named NOLA Built Team of the Month
Dec 4, 2019 | Women's Swimming and Diving
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University swimming and diving team was named the athletic department's NOLA Built Team of the Month for its commitment to community service in November.

Â
"We are extremely proud of the dedication that the swimming and diving team has put into volunteering with the Special Olympics this semester," Tulane Assistant Athletics Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement Dr. Cornell Sneed said. "Between juggling their unbelievable training and practice schedules and their rigorous academic loads, the fact that they make volunteering with the Special Olympics on a consistent basis a priority speaks volumes to their team culture and the amazing job Coach Stancil is doing." Â Â
Â
During these practices, Tulane student-athletes taught attendees on how to swim and about water safety.
Â
"I could not be more proud of our team and the work they have done in the community," Stancil said. "Being a positive influence on today's youth plays a major role in our society and I am thrilled to see our student-athletes making a difference."
