Tulane Athletics Shines on Give Green Day

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Athletics shined during the university's second annual "Give Green: A Day for the Audacious" 24-hour campaign on March 19.
Over the day of giving period, Tulane Athletics secured the most gifts in Group A of the Hertz Family Big Green Grand Prize, as it received 268 contributions totaling $52,349.
"I can't thank our donors, fans, staff and student-athletes enough for making a gift during 'A Day for the Audacious'," Tulane Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. "The contributions made to athletics represents a strong commitment to enhancing our student-athletes' overall experience at Tulane. This is truly a great time to be a part of Tulane Athletics and the commitment shown to athletics is living proof of that momentum."
Donors from several states made gifts supporting Tulane Athletics, which directly support the 17 varsity athletics programs and 350 Green Wave student-athletes.
Throughout the day, Tulane University received nearly $700,000 was raised from over 3,000 gifts. The results represent an increase of about 50 percent from the previous year.
Videos and updates were posted across various social media platforms throughout the event, ensuring that the excitement continued to rise. Facebook, Twitter and Instagram broadcasted the day's triumphs to Tulanians both near and far.
