Dear Next Wave:
Â
Welcome to the best years of your life.
The next four to five years will truly shape your personal and professional life for the next 40 years.
Â
As a Green Wave student-athlete, you already have a head start on everyone else because you chose to go to school at Tulane University.
Â
Tulane is an institution that is recognized throughout the world and can open doors for you that you never thought were open to you, but you have knock on the door. The opportunities that are available are truly limitless and I am living proof that someone is on the other side of that door to let you in.Â
Â
Prior to my senior year, I had the opportunity to further my international business skills overseas through the support of Tulane. The experience was not only educational, but it also was eye-opening to see how many people in the business world know and respect Tulane.Â
Â
There are very few schools in this country that can provide that type of opportunity.
Â
Currently, I'm pursuing my dream of being a professional athlete. Following the 2019 NFL Draft, I signed a free agent deal with the Denver Broncos and I still can't believe I'm here working with some of the finest athletes in the world.
Â
The NFL is hard work and I know that competing at this level will be one of the most challenging times in my football life, but thanks to Tulane, I know I have the skill set to make it thanks to the lessons I learned from Coach Fritz and our coaching staff.Â
Â
What they have done over the past three years has been truly amazing.
Â
This past December our team won just its fifth bowl game in the 125-year history of our program. We also helped lay the foundation for our football program's future success.
Â
But the thing that impressed me the most about our coaching staff and administration is that they truly cared about each and every one of us both on and off the field. They demand excellence in every facet of life and they want to know that you are set up for excellence once your playing days are over.Â
Â
As I walk away from my time at Tulane, I have two degrees, real world job experience, a student-athlete experience second to none and a lifetime full of memories.
Â
Most importantly though, I have the necessary skills to be successful at anything I put my mind to and that's because of my experience at Tulane.
Â
This institution provides a roadmap to success and all you have to do is follow that path and have a little fun too – you are in New Orleans after all.
Â
Going to Tulane is a privilege that very few people in this world get an opportunity to experience, so make the most of your time here and don't be afraid to be great.
Â
