Women's Tennis Wins Doubles on Day Two at Samford

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Tulane women's tennis team took two of three doubles matches from South Alabama, highlighting the second day of competition at the Samford Invitational.

The Green Wave got the day started with doubles, as the freshman duo of Mackenzie Clark and Lahari Yelamanchili improved to 2-0 on the weekend with a convincing 6-1 win over South Alabama, while Lauren Gish and Daniela La Fuente also improved to 2-0 after scoring a 6-2 victory against the Jaguars.

Tulane matched up against Memphis for singles in the afternoon, as Clark continued her unbeaten weekend, cruising to a 6-2, 6-2 win over Lina Hohnhold.

The Green Wave closes tournament play Sunday with doubles matches against host Samford, followed by singles against South Alabama.
