
Tulane Athletics Completes Strong 2019 Fall Academics Campaign

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University student-athletes continued their strong performance in the classroom during the fall semester, posting a departmental grade point average of 3.165.Â

Fifteen of the Green Wave's 17 athletic programs posted a team GPA of over 3.0, while 202 of the department's 310 student-athletes posted a GPA above 3.0.Â

"Our student-athletes' dedication to excellence in academics is second to none," Director of Athletics Troy Dannen said. "I would like to congratulate our academic and coaching staffs  for their continued commitment to our student-athletes' success both on and off the field."

Tulane also had 22 student-athletes earn a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester.Â

"This is a tremendous accomplishment for our student-athletes and I could not be more proud of their efforts from the fall semester," Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services Dr. Charvi Greer said. "I look forward to seeing another strong performance by our student-athletes in the classroom this spring."

The Tulane women's cross country team posted the department's highest team GPA during the fall semester, finishing with a 3.731.Â
