
Rosenberg Tied at 15th, Tulane 10th After Day One of the AllState Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team posted an 11-over 595 in the first two rounds of the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate to close the day 10th.
Junior Jennifer Rosenberg logged two-over 75 in the first round and a three-under 70 in the second. She had one birdie in the first and six birdies in the second. Rosenberg is tied for 15th headed into tomorrow's final round.

"We showed a lot of good stuff today throughout our line-up," Green Wave head coach Stew Burke said. "Round two wasn't our best stuff, but I know we can continue to improve tomorrow and climb the leaderboard."

The Green Wave shot three-over 295 in the first round and eight-over 300 in the second.

Senior Haydyn Gibson led the way in the first round with a one-under 72. She had two birdies on the round and did not post a hole over-par on the front nine. The Clearwater, Florida, native posted a three-over 76 in the second round with two birdies. She currently sits tied for 29th going into tomorrow's final round.

Freshman Carlota Palacios registered a one-over 74 in the first round and a four-over 77 in the second round. She recorded five birdies over the two rounds. Palacios finished the day tied for 47th.

Sophomore Isabella Cardenas shot one-over 74 in the first round and four-over 77 in the second round to close the day tied for 47th. She recorded five birdies on the day.

Freshman Sandra Vazquez shot five-over in the first two rounds at English Turn Golf and Country Club. She had five birdies over the two rounds. She finished the day tied for 67th.

Freshman Hanna Liu closed the first day tied for 77th at 14-over 160. She had three birdies in the first two rounds.

Senior Gabrielle Correia logged a three-over 76 in round one and a four-over 77 in the second to close the day tied for 56th. She four birdies on the day.

Florida leads all teams at 12-under 572 headed into the final round. North Carolina State's Mim Sangkapong is currently in first individually at seven-under 139.

The third round will tee-off at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
