
Tulane Women’s Golf Opens the Spring Schedule at The All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University women's golf team will host the All State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Golf and Country Club on Sunday, Feb. 16.

The tournament will be a three-day event with the first two rounds opening at 9 a.m. CT off holes one and 10. The final round will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. The event will be held at the par-73, 6,336-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club.

The Green Wave will face ranked opponents in No. 9 Florida, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 23 Houston, No. 39 Miami and No. 50 Denver. Colorado State, Iowa, NC State, SMU, North Texas, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Tulsa and UAB will also make the trek to New Orleans.Â

The tournament will feature six of the top 50 players in the nation in No. 22 Paz Marfa, No. 24 Allyson Greer-Park and No. 43 Yarika Tanida from Michigan State, No. 27 Karen Fredgaard from Houston, No. 38 Renate Grimstad from Miami and No. 44 Siti Shaari from South Alabama. Â

The lineup for Tulane this week includes junior Jennifer Rosenberg at No. 1, senior Haydyn Gibson at No. 2, freshman Carlota Palacios at No. 3, freshman Sandra Vazquez at No. 4 and sophomore Isabella Cardenas at No. 5. Senior Gabrielle Correia and freshman Hanna Liu will compete as individuals.

In the final tournament of the fall, senior Haydyn Gibson led the Wave at the White Sands Invitational with a five-over 221 to place tied for 34th. Tulane finished the tournament 13th with a total score of 25-over 889.
