Green Wave Claims Team Title, Pompa Wins Individual Crown

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane women's golf team won the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein on Wednesday afternoon at TPC Louisiana. Francesca Pompa also claimed her second individual Tulane Classic title, having previously won the tournament as a freshman in 2025.
The Green Wave had a team score of 875 (+11), scoring 293 (+5) in the first two rounds with a score of 289 (+1) in the third and final round. Tulane was tied for second as a team for birdies with 34.Â
Pompa capped off the tournament with a 3-under 69 in the final round, including an eagle, to finish at 212 (-4 - 72, 71, 69) and claim the individual title.
Sophia Chen finished the final round tied for eighth with a 1-over 73, bringing her three-round total to 219 (+3 - 74, 72, 73). Chen recorded four birdies during her final 18 holes.
Sophia Macias carded an even-par 72 in the final round to finish the tournament with a 219 (+3 - 72, 75, 72). Macias recorded three birdies during Wednesday's final round while also tying for eighth.
Daniela Montolio Reyes rounded out the Green Wave's scoring lineup with a 3-over 75 in the final round tying for 33rd. Reyes finished the tournament with a three-round total of 230 (+14 - 75, 80, 75) after recording two birdies in the final round.
Cristina Albertazzi finished the final round with a 5-over 77 to bring her three-round total to 233 (+17 - 81, 75, 77). She ended the tournament tied for 42nd.Â
Competing as individuals for the Green Wave, Bella Crespo carded an 84 (+12) in the final round to finish the tournament with a 244 (+28 - 81, 79, 84).  Isabella Carter posted a 90 (+18) in the final round and finished with a three-round total of 258 (+42 - 81, 87, 90). Crespo finished out the tournament tied for 59th, while Carter ended at 69th.Â
The Green Wave women's golf team will be in action on the road in Norman, Oklahoma on September 19th through the 21st. Tulane will face off against Texas State, Baylor, Tulsa, Virgina Tech, Florida State, Oral Roberts, Iowa State, Arkansas State, Houston, Texas Christian, Georgia, Central Florida, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, and the host Oklahoma during the Schooner Fall Classic.
