Green Wave Heads to the Schooner Fall Classic

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane women's golf is set for its first road tournament of the season as the Green Wave travels to Norman, Oklahoma, for the Schooner Fall Classic. The three-day tournament, hosted by Oklahoma, begins Saturday and runs through Monday, Sept. 19-21, at the Belmar Golf Club.

Tulane is coming off a strong showing at the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein, where the Green Wave claimed the team title and Francesca Pompa captured the individual championship.

The Green Wave competed in the Schooner Fall Classic last season, finishing 15th with a total score of 886 (+46). Sophia Macias was Tulane's top individual finisher, tying for 30th overall with a three-day score of 212 (+2).

Tulane's lineup will feature Francesca Pompa, Sophia Chen, Sophia Macias, Daniela Montolio Reyes and Cristina Albertazzi this weekend. These five will play alongside Texas State and Arkansas State.

In addition to the Green Wave, the tournament field includes Arkansas State, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts, TCU, Texas State, Tulsa, UCF, Virginia Tech, and host Oklahoma.

Rounds of play will start at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start each day. Tulane will start at hole 10 on Saturday. Fans can follow along with the Green Wave's action HERE.
