Green Wave Closes Out Schooner Fall Classic in 11th

NORMAN, Okla. - Tulane women's golf completed the Schooner Fall Classic at Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Oklahoma on Monday afternoon. The Green Wave finished the tournament tied for 11th with a team total of 853 (+13).

In the final round of play, Tulane recorded a team score of 293 (+13) after scoring a 275 (-5) during the second round on Sunday and a 285 (+5) in the first on Saturday. The Green Wave recorded 40 birdies throughout the tournament, tying for 10th-most in the field.

Francesca Pompa capped off the tournament with a 3-under 67 in the final round, including five birdies, to finish tied for 18th with a three-round score of 207 (-3 - 69, 71, 67).

Sophia Macias carded a 3-over 73 in the final round to finish the tournament tied for 39th with a three-round total of 213 (+3 - 73, 67, 73). Macias recorded four birdies during Monday's final round.

Sophia Chen finished the tournament tied for 46th with a 6-over 76 in the final round, bringing her three-round total to 215 (+5 - 71, 68, 76). Chen recorded a single birdie during her final 18 holes.

Cristina Albertazzi finished the final round with a 7-over 77 to bring her three-round total to 220 (+10 - 72, 71, 77). She ended the tournament with two birdies and tied for 67th.

Daniela Montolio Reyes rounded out the Green Wave's scoring lineup with an 8-over 78 in the final round, tying for 78th. Reyes finished the tournament with a three-round total of 223 (+13 - 76, 69, 78) after recording two birdies in the final round.

UP NEXT
Tulane will hit the road again when it travels to Denver, Colorado, for the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. This three-day tournament will play begin Friday, Oct. 2, and conclude Sunday, Oct. 4. The Green Wave will compete against: UNLV, Texas State, Long Beach State, Hawai'i, Colorado State, UTSA, Northern Colorado, Xavier, Boise State, Wyoming, Colorado, Notre Dame, Oregon State, and host Denver.
