Green Wave Hosts Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane golf will open its 2026-27 campaign by hosting the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein at TPC of Louisiana this week. The Green Wave will compete in the two-day, 54-hole tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 8-9.

The Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein returns to the schedule for the Green Wave for the first time since the spring of 2025. Tulane finished second as a team the last time it hosted the tournament. Francesca Pompa highlighted the event for the Green Wave as she became the first Tulane freshman to win a tournament since Daniela Holmqvist won the Conference USA Championship in 2009.

Brownstein is a Green Wave men's golf alumnus and will be the presenting sponsor for the fifth time since the tournament began in the spring of 2022. He has also committed to sponsor the tournament for another five years.

Representing Tulane in the starting lineup for the tournament will be Sophia Chen, Sophia Macias, Pompa, Daniela Montolio Reyes, and Cristina Albertazzi. The starters for the Wave will be paired with players from San Diego State, Southern Miss, and Samford in the first round of play on Tuesday.

The Green Wave will also have two individuals represented in the field at TPC of Louisiana. Isabella Carter and Bella Crespo will make their debut this season competing as individuals in the two-day tournament.

Joining the Wave in the field for the Tulane Classic presented by Chad Brownstein will be Georgia State, Loyola, Jackson State, Howard, West Florida, Tarleton State, Lamar, Southern, San Diego State, Samford, and Southern Miss. LSU will also have two individuals competing in the tournament.

Teams will tee off in a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. The action on Tuesday will feature 36 holes of competition before the final 18 holes are played on Wednesday. Fans can follow along with live results HERE.
